Roberto Carlos becomes the interim boss of Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

Brazil legend Roberto Carlos has become the interim boss of Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala after head coach Gadzhi Gadzhiyev was dismissed.

The former Real Madrid star will share first-team coaching duties with assistant boss Andrey Gordeyev.

Despite making Samuel Eto'o the world's highest-paid player in August, the Russian side have picked up just one win in six games.

Anzhi have been linked with more high-profile names in recent months, including Fabio Capello, Jose Mourinho, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
