Former England international Alan Shearer has rejected an offer to take over as the manager of League Two side Bristol Rovers, according to reports.
Shearer, who is eager to return to management after a brief stint at Newcastle, is understood to be expecting bigger offers on the horizon as he continues his work with the BBC, according to the The Mirror.
Rovers have struggled to find a replacement for former boss Paul Buckle, who was sacked earlier this month, with Burton Albion's Paul Peschisolido deciding to remain at the Pirellli Stadium.
The club have also been linked with Geraint Williams and Mark McGhee.
