Former England defender and Bolton Wanderers manager Colin Todd has been scheduled to undergo a heart bypass operation in Denmark, where he works as manager of Randers FC in the country's top flight, reports have claimed.
The 65-year-old experienced chest pains during a training camp last week and is now awaiting surgery in Aarhus, according to the Daily Mail.
Todd is quoted as saying: "I'm always positive in my thinking and the staff here at the hospital are keeping a watchful eye on me.
"Being hospitalised is completely new to me but the situation in Denmark is truly amazing, much better than in England."
Todd joined Bolton in 1992 as assistant to his predecessor at Middlesbrough, Bruce Rioch.
