FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke has stated that holding the 2022 Qatar World Cup in November and December is the only solution to avoid heat problems.
The FIFA task force have officially recommended that the tournament takes place across the final two months of the year because the temperatures will be cooler.
The regular June to July dates of a World Cup campaign have been questioned due to the danger that the heat could cause to players and spectators in Qatar.
Speaking after a meeting of the FIFA task force in Doha, Valcke told BBC Sport: "It's clear there are pros and cons for all but there is one solution coming out from these discussions, which is November-December 2022."
Drink breaks had to be held during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil due to the high temperatures.
