Northampton Town have recorded their first home win of 2014 by beating Hartlepool United 2-0.
The result, which came courtesy of goals from Mathias Kouo-Doumbe and Brennan Dickenson, was not enough to lift the Cobblers off the bottom of the League Two table, but they are now below 23rd-placed Torquay United on goals scored.
Kouo-Doumbe's first goal for Northampton opened the scoring in the final seconds of a scrappy first half at Sixfields.
The 34-year-old headed home at the far post in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
There was so much time added on because Hartlepool defender Michael Duckworth had earlier left the field on a stretcher.
Northampton doubled their lead early in the second period when Dickenson tapped home from close range following a low cross from the lively Chris Hackett.
Hartlepool have now not won in their last 25 visits to Northampton.
