Nottingham Forest captain Chris Cohen has praised Stuart Pearce's no-nonsense approach to management.
Forest are currently fourth in the Championship and the former England Under-21 boss has won two of his first three matches in charge at the City Ground.
However, it is the way that Pearce has handled the departures of several players that has earned him the respect and admiration of the dressing room, according to Cohen.
The Mirror quotes him as saying: "He's the straightest person I've ever worked with. You can see by the changes he's made. No one has left with any animosity towards him.
"He's told them straight if they are going to play and be in his plans and made the decision from there. You get a lot of clubs and managers that would string people along. Players just want to know where they stand.
"And if any one proves him wrong he will be the first to admit that and put them back in the team. He's been true to his word at that as well."
Forest travel to Bournemouth on Saturday.
