Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has said that confidence is high among his players following this afternoon's 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers at the City Ground.
Second-half strikes from Jamie Paterson and Andy Reid added to a brace of first-half penalties from Henri Lansbury, and the Reds boss was thrilled with the way his side imposed themselves on their in-form visitors.
"It was a fantastic three points," Davies told the club's official website. "We were disappointed to concede a soft goal to let Blackburn back into the game but I thought our response was excellent and we thoroughly deserved the win.
"We played some wonderful football in the first half and created some great chances. We should have made more of those opportunities but that won't take the shine off a superb three points.
"There's a great spirit in the squad and confidence is rightfully very high. But we'll keep our feet on the ground, have a good week of training and prepare for the visit of Preston on Friday night."
Forest currently occupy fifth place in the Championship.
