Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll has expressed his disappointment at the "harsh" dismissal of Dexter Blackstock during his side's 1-0 defeat to Derby County.
Blackstock was sent off by referee Robert Madley just seconds into the second half for an alleged deliberate elbow on Richard Keogh.
The Rams then went on to claim all three points thanks to Craig Bryson's strike on 54 minutes.
"I could see why he's given it, but I thought it was harsh if I'm honest," O'Driscoll told Sky Sports News.
"If we are aware that he is coming out and he's going to punish the first foul or whatever, then at least we can prepare the players. To do it so suddenly and so quickly was disappointing."
Forest have now lost each of their last three matches against their main East Midlands rivals.
