Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce believes that the togetherness at the club helped his side to end their winless run in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has expressed his belief that the sense of togetherness at the club was key in ending their winless run in the Championship.

The Reds secured their first win in 10 attempts with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Norwich City at the City Ground on Saturday.

Late goals from Britt Assombalonga and Michail Antonio secured the three points for Pearce's men after they had fallen behind during the first half.

"It is probably fair to say that our group of players have put more pressure on themselves than there has been on any other team in the Championship, with that run of results," Pearce told the Nottingham Post.

"There were questions asked about the moral fibre of that team. But credit to them, because they deserved that win and now we must look to build on it.

"I don't think there has been a game this season where we have finished the game and our opponents have looked stronger than us. Credit to the players for that, because we always look strong, physically, at the end of matches."

Forest sit three points adrift of the playoff places following the result.
