Nottingham Forest have registered a hard-fought victory over Huddersfield Town thanks to a goal from Henri Lansbury.
Jamie Paterson had an early chance for Forest but his strike from 20 yards struck Danny Collins and looped over Karl Darlow's crossbar.
Soon after Simon Cox had a sight of goal but could only scuff his shot from the edge of the area into the arms of Huddersfield keeper Alex Smithies.
In the 34th minute debutant Eric Lichaj had a chance for the home side but struck his volley just wide of the post.
Former Everton forward James Vaughan forced Darlow into a save at the start of the second half as the home side looked to take the advantage.
Forest scored the only goal of the game early in the second half when Cox played in Chris Cohen, whose ball across the face of goal was tapped home by Lansbury.
