Nottingham Forest have secured an impressive 2-0 win over Premier League side Bournemouth in Saturday's pre-season friendly at the City Ground.
The first period of sustained pressure came courtesy of the Cherries on 10 minutes as David Brooks and Lys Mousset both saw efforts charged down by the Reds defence.
Four minutes later, Callum Wilson got on the end of a flick-on from Harry Arter inside the Forest penalty area but could only direct his shot wide of the target.
The hosts slowly grew into the game and, after testing the waters via a Diogo Goncalves effort from outside the box, they took the lead on 36 minutes.
Goncalves was once again involved, providing a low cross from the left for Tendayi Darikwa to tap home beyond the reach of Artur Boruc from close range.
Aitor Karanka's charges then doubled their lead shortly after the restart, Gil Dias shrugging off a challenge on the right to maraud forward and slot the ball into the far corner of the Cherries' net.
Forest continued to maintain control of the game and almost grabbed a third on 64 minutes when a neatly-worked corner routine saw Ben Osborn well placed to have a go, but his shot was well saved.
Substitute Hillal Soudani also came close to extending the hosts' lead late on in the encounter as Bournemouth suffered their first pre-season loss at the hands of the Championship side.
