Nottingham Forest are reportedly willing to entertain offers for one of their most experienced players over the next 11 days.
As a result of being docked four points for breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules, Forest did not guarantee survival in the division until the final weekend.
However, to avoid further rule breaks in the short term, the hierarchy at the East Midlands outfit must oversee at least one sale ahead of June 30, the last date for accounts to be filed.
Previous reports have indicated that high-profile players such as Murillo or Morgan Gibbs-White may make the move elsewhere to give them extra breathing space.
Instead, lesser-heralded players who may still be on sizeable wages could be provided with a route out of the City Ground if a suitable offer arrives.
Forest to consider Vlachodimos offers
According to Football Insider, Forest are willing to accept bids for Odysseas Vlachodimos over the coming days.
The goalkeeper had been signed with the view of becoming Forest's first-choice stopper, yet he made just the five starts in the Premier League during 2023-24.
A further two outings came in the FA Cup, where four goals were conceded against Blackpool, and the Greece international did not make another appearance all season.
Matz Sels is currently viewed as the number one, with Matt Turner also in reserve, and reports have indicated that Forest are on the brink of adding to their options between the sticks.
Forest paid in the region of £7.7m to sign Vlachodimos from Benfica, although whether it is realistic to recoup that level of fee remains to be seen.
Who else could leave Forest?
Moving Vlachodimos on may not be as simple as Forest hope given that he still has three years remaining on his contract.
However, it appears they may have more luck with parting ways with Joe Worrall, who is being heavily linked with Sheffield United.
A wide array of players are already confirmed as being released or having returned to their respective loan clubs. body check tags ::
