Nottingham Forest have announced that they have completed the signing of Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis.
The East Midlands outfit went into their Premier League opener with Newcastle United last weekend having already made 11 first-team additions during the summer transfer window.
However, after Forest succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at St James' Park, it became apparent that last season's Championship playoff winners would be in the market for at least one new striker.
Reports soon emerged that Steve Cooper held an interest in signing Dennis from Watford, who had already made their own signings in the final third.
The Hornets hinted that Dennis's departure was imminent when they confirmed the season-long loan deal for Aston Villa's Keinan Davis on Saturday morning.
Forest have now revealed that the Nigeria international is officially their player, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claiming that the deal is worth £20m.
Romano adds that the 24-year-old has penned a contract that will keep him at the City Ground until the end of 2025-26.
Dennis departs Vicarage Road after contributing 10 goals and six assists from his 33 outings in the Premier League last season.
He also featured in Watford's opening two Championship fixtures of the campaign before being left out for the game with Burnley on Friday night.
Despite being confirmed as a Forest player on Saturday, Dennis is not eligible to feature in Sunday's encounter against West Ham United.
Instead, Dennis will be in line to make his debut in the contest with Everton at Goodison Park on August 20.
