Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign David Vaughan on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
The Welshman joined Forest on a loan deal from Sunderland back in October, although a knee injury has limited the midfielder to just seven appearances.
However, he has done enough during those outings to earn a two-year contract at the City Ground, which will come into force on July 1.
Prior to his switch to Sunderland in 2011, Vaughan played for Crewe Alexandra, Real Sociedad and Blackpool.
