Manny Smith has signed for Notts County on a two-year deal, joining the club on a free after the expiry of his Walsall contract.
The defender, who made 124 appearances in six years with the Saddlers has expressed his delight at signing for fellow League One side County.
Smith also praised manager Keith Curle's ambition, citing it as a deciding factor.
"It's a big club, very ambitious and I just can't wait to get started," he told the club's official website.
"I had a few options, but the gaffer here showed great interest in me, I sat down and spoke to him a few times and he was very keen on me and very keen on taking the club forwards."
