Fiorentina came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Novara in a game overshadowed by a bizarre clash between manager Delio Rossi and Adem Ljajic.
The visitors took a 1-0 lead early on courtesy of a strike from Jeda before Marco Rigoni converted a penalty on the stroke of half time.
Rossi then took action for his team's poor start as he made the call to substitute Ljajic, who sarcastically applauded the decision, causing Rossi to attack the Serbian as he made his way to the bench.
Somehow, amid all of the chaos, Fiorentina were able to mount a comeback as Riccardo Montolivo replied with a spot kick of his own shortly after the break.
The Italian international netted a second on 71 minutes to level the scores and could have even won it for the Florence outfit but his late shot went inches wide.
With the result, Novara have been relegated from Serie A.
