Team GB manager Stuart Pearce believes that Ryan Giggs has been "fantastic" so far as captain of the squad.
The 38-year-old was appointed as Team GB captain last week, and according to Pearce the Manchester United midfielder's first few days leading the squad have been exemplary.
"He has all the credentials and he's been absolutely fantastic," Pearce told Radio Manchester.
"We've been out in Spain for five or six days, he has the full respect of his teammates and his form last season was very good for Manchester United."
Team GB's first Olympic Games match is on July 26 against Senegal at Old Trafford.
