Partick Thistle captain Sean Welsh is expected to be out of action for a month after suffering a knee injury.
The midfielder picked up the problem on November 8 during his side's 1-0 win over St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.
Welsh, 24, has made just two first-team appearances in the past year due to a series of injury troubles.
"Sean went for a scan on his knee and there is a bit of damage there, but it is not too bad so we will maybe lose him for three weeks or a month," manager Alan Archibald told the Evening Times.
"He got to half time but then we had to take him off unfortunately. He is just really unlucky, you get players that seem to pick up knocks all the time."
Partick continue their league campaign on Sunday when they entertain Aberdeen.
