Darren Ferguson believes that his Peterborough United side deserved their victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Posh came from a goal down, scored by Sean Scannell, to win the encounter 2-1 with goals from Grant McCann and David Ball.
"Result-wise it was the perfect start," the 39-year-old boss told the club's official website.
"It was a good performance when we increased the tempo, which we needed to do in the second half.
"I have to say I thought [the win] was thoroughly deserved."
Ferguson's men will travel to Stevenage Borough tomorrow (August 9) for a League Cup tie.
