Peterborough United captain Tommy Rowe has said that he is happy to help the team by playing in defence.
The 25-year-old midfielder was moved to left-back in place of Kgosi Ntlhe for Posh's win at Rotherham United last weekend.
Rowe has claimed that the move into defence could give him a licence to attack.
"The move to full-back doesn't bother me at all," Rowe told Peterborough Today.
"When the manager [Darren Ferguson] said I might have to play there for a few weeks he actually said it would help me get more involved in attacks. I had a bit of success last season playing left-back and left wing-back so it's a move I'm happy to make.
"I didn't get forward very much at Rotherham as they were on top for most of the game, but I'm sure that will change."
Peterborough play Preston North End on Saturday.
