Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson has revealed that Aaron McLean is on the verge of rejoining Peterborough United on loan.
The striker originally signed for the Posh in 2006 and he went on to spend five years at London Road, scoring 83 goals in the process.
He then departed for Hull City, before he linked up with Bradford in 2013.
However, a lack of playing time at Valley Parade in recent weeks has brought about his return to Cambridgeshire.
"It's a good move and I'm pleased for Aaron. It's a good opportunity for him to go down there and get some games. Peterborough expressed an interest as soon as we made him available and that's where he preferred to go," Parkinson told the Telegraph & Argus.
"A few clubs came in for him straight away but it's taken a bit of time to get the deal agreed with Peterborough. I hope he does well there."
Portsmouth were also thought to be keen on McLean's services, but the 31-year-old was eager to move back to Peterborough.
