Peterborough United have reportedly submitted an offer to sign Gateshead winger Marcus Maddison.
The 20-year-old joined his current employers last summer following his release by Premier League side Newcastle United.
He went on to score 10 goals in the Conference Premier, which earned him two caps for the England C side.
That form has not gone unnoticed where Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson is concerned, with an undisclosed bid for his services having recently been made, according to Sky Sports News.
Maddison has found the net on three occasions already this summer.
