Port Vale defender Dan Jones will turn out for the club's reserve side this week as he continues his recovery from a groin problem.
The 26-year-old, who has missed the last five matches with the strain, suffered the injury in the defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of August.
However, according to PA, he will be one of a number of first-team players who take to the pitch against Morecambe on Wednesday evening.
Jones, who started his career with Wolves, joined Vale from Sheffield Wednesday in January of this year.
