Port Vale manager Rob Page is confident that Crystal Palace loanee Ryan Inniss will bring the best out of fellow centre-back Chris Robertson.
The pair helped Vale to a 3-0 win against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday which lifted Vale into the top half of the League One table.
Page's side have kept two clean sheets when 19-year-old Inniss and Robertson have started together and the Valliants boss was quick to praise the teenager's contribution.
He told the Stoke Sentinel: "I think for 19 years old he shows a lot of experience. He is not afraid and from the first day here he was telling people what he thought of them and where he wanted them to go.
"It was a breath of fresh air to see a young kid come in and boss people about like that, but he is a lovely lad as well.
"I think he has definitely had an impact and is part of the reason why we have had two clean sheets. I think 'Robbo' will become a better player for playing with him, having youth alongside him and knowing he has the pace and legs."
Inniss joined Vale on a one-month loan deal from Palace earlier this month.
