The Portland Timbers have earned a much-needed win in the MLS Western Conference with a 2-1 triumph over the Seattle Sounders at the Jeld-Wen Field.
The hosts took the lead on 16 minutes when Kris Boyd fired in from Steven Smith's cross.
Their lead was doubled 10 minutes later as David Horst headed in Franck Songo'o's corner.
