A report in Portugal claims that former Chelsea centre-forward Didier Drogba is nearing a move to Porto.

Didier Drogba has reportedly opened up negotiations with Porto.

The 37-year-old was made a free agent earlier this summer by Chelsea, who declined the chance to extend the striker's contract at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Porto are believed to be in the market for a new striker following the recent departure of Jackson Martinez to Atletico Madrid.

That has brought about their interest in Drogba, with the switch potentially concluded later this week, according to Jornal de Noticias.

The report adds that the Ivorian has been offered a 12-month deal by the Portuguese club.
