The President of the Portuguese FA has denied that there is unrest amongst the squad ahead of their Euro 2012 playoff against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa, who recently announced his international retirement, has criticised current coach Paolo Bento.
"We can remind what happened with the France national team in South Africa," Gilberto Madail told reporters. "Those are much more serious situations.
"That kind of things (Bosingwa's remarks) normally have an impact on the outside, but the effect on the team is almost non-existent.
"The player has the right to express his feelings. But there are some things that he does not have the right to do, like interfering with the coach's wish and his choices."
Portugal travel to Bosnia on Friday before the return leg four days later.
