Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches has admitted that scoring in his side's triumph over Poland at Euro 2016 was a "wonderful moment".
Sanches was the shining light of another underwhelming performance from Fernando Santos's team, but after netting in both normal time and from the spot in a penalty shootout, the Bayern Munich midfielder insists that he and his teammates have taken no notice of the criticism that has come their way.
The 18-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It is a wonderful moment for the team and for me for scoring. We have been working very hard and we have been doing our best.
"People criticise us but we don't care because we are in the semis."
Portugal will play either Belgium or Wales in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
