Portugal coach Paulo Bento has refused to say when Cristiano Ronaldo will be back to full fitness.
The 29-year-old winger, who is suffering from both tendonitis and a thigh problem, missed his team's 1-0 friendly win over Mexico on Friday.
With Portugal's World Cup opener against Germany coming up on June 16, Bento is not putting a time limit on when Ronaldo will be back in action.
"The situation is evolving and our expectations are evolving constantly," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "When he's ready to play is a decision that will be made just like any other player, regardless of who it is. I'm not at liberty to discuss at full length the situation. As soon as he is ready to train, we will make that announcement.
"We have to prepare for Germany regardless. The decision of if he will play and when is up to me, the player and the doctors. Ronaldo is not the only good player we have."
Ronaldo has scored 49 goals in 110 appearances for Portugal.
