Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves has reportedly attempted to broker peace between Edinson Cavani and Neymar following their dispute at the weekend.
The pair argued on the pitch over who should take a penalty during the 2-0 win over Lyon, with reports suggesting that the discontent then continued in the dressing room as their teammates were forced to intervene and keep them apart.
According to L'Equipe, Alves - Neymar's former Barcelona teammate, who also moved to the French capital this summer - invited the entire team out for a meal after the incident, which had seen him inadvertently become involved by handing the ball to Neymar instead of Cavani.
The newspaper says that Alves had hoped to foster a spirit of "reconciliation" at the team dinner - held at the trendy Victoria Paris restaurant near the Arc de Triomphe - and was pleased with what turned out to be "a calm and friendly atmosphere".
Following the argument, Neymar has allegedly demanded that PSG sell on Cavani at the earliest opportunity.
