Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has insisted that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani can play together, despite the Uruguayan starting from the bench in the 4-0 win over Bastia.
Ibrahimovic scored twice in the first half before Cavani came on to net two of his own, but despite their effectiveness individually the aim is for Blanc to play them both together.
"I'm sure they can play together," Blanc told reporters. "They must play together in order to build up an understanding.
"The South American players returned late; they were tired. When I see how well we played despite this, it's nice to see that we are still very effective. It is important to maintain this level in all games."
PSG are three points clear at the top of Ligue 1, but have played one more game than Monaco in second.
