New Paris Saint-Germain head coach Laurent Blanc has admitted that the challenge ahead of him at the club is an "exciting" one.
Blanc, who was appointed as Carlo Ancelotti's replacement on Tuesday, said that it would be "tough" to better last season's performance in Ligue 1.
"It's an exciting challenge, but a tough one as well," Ligue1.com quotes Blanc as saying. "The staff and I are putting in place everything necessary to achieve our objectives
"We haven't spoken concretely [of the precise goals], but I can guess: do better - at least as well as last season - in terms of titles and in terms of points."
Blanc's previous post was as France manager, which he left a year ago.
