Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has expressed his relief at his side's extra-time victory over Saint-Etienne in the Coupe de la Ligue on Wednesday.
Edinson Cavani scored his second goal in the 118th minute of their last-16 tie at Parc des Princes to wrap up a 2-1 win for the Ligue 1 leaders.
"Fortunately we won because after all the energy the players left out on the pitch, if we had lost at the end of extra time or on penalties, it would have been very hard to pick everyone up for the match against Lille on Sunday," PSG's official website quotes Blanc as saying.
"This result will certainly help us recover a little quicker. The players gave it everything tonight."
PSG will host Lille in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
