Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that he does not need to win the FIFA Ballon d'Or to prove to himself that he is the best player in the world.
The Sweden international is being considered as one of the favourites to win the most prestigious individual award in football, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Franck Ribery also among the frontrunners.
"It's not something I think about and it is something that is not important for me," Goal.com quotes the 32-year-old as saying. "I do not need to win this trophy to know I am the best."
Ibrahimovic equalled the record for the number of goals in a single Champions League group stage by scoring his eighth of the campaign against Olympiacos on Wednesday.
