Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has confirmed that Blaise Matuidi is in his squad for Sunday's trip to Nantes, after recovering from a nasty head wound suffered last weekend.
Matuidi needed stitches to repair a deep cut on his forehand following a clash of heads during the 1-1 draw with Ajaccio, which made the midfielder a huge doubt to keep his place in central midfield.
Blanc has confirmed that the French international rejoined his teammates for training earlier today, with another check to follow tomorrow morning before the squad leave for Nantes.
He told the club's official website: "He is recovering very well, better than we had hoped for in fact. He is doing well.
"He trained almost normally today and he is in the squad. We'll see how he's feeling on Saturday. If he is right to play against Nantes, he may have to wear some protection."
The 26-year-old has been a regular feature for PSG since signing in 2011, while also establishing himself in the French national side under Blanc and current coach Didier Deschamps.
