Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell has said that he is struggling to digest criticism that has been aimed at teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season.
Ibrahimovic has struggled with injury in the early part of the campaign and has only netted twice for the French champions this season.
Maxwell, however, has laughed off comments aimed at the striker, who has hit 108 goals in all for the Paris club.
"For me it's funny to hear what everybody is saying about Ibrahimovic after all he has done in his career and even this season," he told reporters.
"He has been injured and is still lacking a bit of rhythm, but he has found his confidence and us scoring goals. He only needs to play some more games. It is ridiculous to criticise a player like Ibrahimovic now."
Ibrahimovic scored 30 times in 35 games for his club last season.
