Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel has claimed that he has a "connection" with Neymar but admits that he may have to tread carefully around the Brazilian superstar.
Neymar is believed to have suffered a strained relationship with former boss Unai Emery last season, while also reportedly falling out with teammate Edinson Cavani.
In addition, the 26-year-old was widely lampooned for his playacting on Brazil duty during the 2018 World Cup, but Tuchel refused to reveal whether he would raise the issue with the forward.
"I'm young - well, not so young - but I know when I speak about Neymar there's a lot of potential to every word that I say," the 44-year-old German is quoted by Sport 24 as saying. "So the best thing when I speak to him about something that we do this in closed rooms.
"I'm very sure that I have a connection with him and I'm very sure that I need to have a connection with these kinds of players.
"He's an outstanding player. He knows how to handle big victories, he also knows how to handle defeats, because that's the way sport is.
"It's always a big challenge to bounce back and I will help him with that. What I talk about with him, when I talk with him, it's a secret that I keep."
Neymar has scored 28 goals and registered 16 assists for PSG since his world-record move from Barcelona last summer.
