Zinedine Zidane reportedly rejected the opportunity to take over from Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Les Parisiens sit 11 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 rankings under Pochettino, although their Coupe de France defence ended at the hands of Nice in the last-16 on Monday.
Amid frequent links with the Manchester United job, Pochettino has been tipped to leave PSG in 2022, and the club were supposedly keen to part ways with him in January as fan frustration grows.
According to TF1, via GFFN, Zidane was identified as the leading candidate to replace Pochettino, but the former Real Madrid boss turned down the chance to return to the dugout in Paris.
The report claims that Zidane is dissatisfied with the way that PSG is run, as well as their style of play leaving a lot to be desired, and he also did not want to come up against Real Madrid in the Champions League later this month.
PSG are still thought to be planning for life after Pochettino, though, with a separate report claiming that the Argentine could be relieved of his duties by March. body check tags ::
