The agent of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has claimed that his client is worth in the region of £72m.
Upwards of £70m has been the figure placed on Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who has struggled to find his best form in the early part of this season.
Verratti, 22, however, has been a key part of PSG's excellent start to the campaign and his agent, Donato di Campli, has said that the Italian's price is growing.
"I hear here and there that Pogba is worth €100m (£72m). For me, Verratti is worth that. We've seen huge amounts spent on certain players abroad, and right now he's probably the best Italian player," Di Campli told France Football.
"Marco wants to stay, but the important thing is that his fair value is recognised."
Real Madrid and Manchester United are both believed to be interested in the midfielder.
