Carlo Ancelotti has said that Nicolas Anelka will not be signing for Paris Saint-Germain during the transfer window.
The 33-year-old has been training with the French side while looking to end his contract with Shanghai Shenhua.
The PSG coach told Sky Sports News: "Nicolas was my player and he is my friend nowadays. He is also a former player of the club, where he was educated.
"But we didn't think about hiring him as he didn't ask us to sign him. If he were to ask? We would think about it but I don't believe he is thinking about that."
Anelka played under Ancelotti during his time at Chelsea.
