New Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier has appeared to rule out a potential transfer away from the club for Neymar this summer.
The Brazilian's future had appeared in doubt earlier this year when club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi cast doubt over the forward's future in the French capital.
In addition, following Kylian Mbappe's controversial decision to sign a three-year contract extension with the club earlier this summer, which reportedly provides him with great influence in the club's sporting decisions, there were rumours that the Frenchman was eager for PSG to sell Neymar due to a lack of discipline.
This led to suggestions of a conflict between Mbappe and strike partner Lionel Messi, who remains good friends with Neymar, due to a disagreement over their teammate's future.
However, Galtier has ruled out a summer exit for Neymar, saying: "I've always been clear that I want him to stay. There are many games until the start of the World Cup and there will be a need for us to rotate.
"In addition to our starting line-up, I want there to be five players with the same potential who can come in. There will be time for everyone to feature. I know where Neymar can be more comfortable, like Messi.
"They are players with a great ability to find themselves between the lines and be decisive."
After seeing an extension to his contract recently triggered, Neymar is tied down to PSG until 2027, and has gone on to make 144 appearances for the club across his five-year stay so far, scoring 100 goals in the process. body check tags ::
