Everton could reportedly turn their attentions to PSV Eindhoven manager Phillip Cocu as the Toffees continue their search for a new manager.
The club parted ways with stand-in coach Sam Allardyce at the end of the 2017-18 season, leading a number of reports to suggest that the Merseyside club would then move for long-term managerial target Marco Silva.
Former Watford coach Silva is yet to be named Toffees boss, leaving Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad to suggest that Everton could instead look to move for ex-Holland international Cocu.
New Everton director of football Marcel Brands is believed to have thrown Cocu's name into the hat at Goodison Park, with the director helping to originally bring Cocu to PSV as a manager.
The 47-year-old Dutch coach has just won his third domestic title with PSV and spent a large part of his playing career at La Liga giants Barcelona.
