Fiorentina have reportedly overtaken Norwich City in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen when his contract runs out next summer.
The 27-year-old, who turned down a move to Carrow Road in the summer, is expected to leave the Philips Stadion at the end of the season.
Toivonen joined PSV from Malmo in 2009 and has scored 54 goals since his arrival in the Eredivisie.
According to talkSPORT, the agent of the Swedish international recently discussed the player's future with Viola technical director Eduardo Macia while negotiating another deal in Florence.
Meanwhile, PSV are said to be keen on extending the striker's deal.
