Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that he is "hopeful" of signing midfielder Scott Parker from Tottenham Hotspur before the close of the summer window.
The 32-year-old could link up with his former manager at Loftus Road after slipping down the rankings at White Hart Lane last season.
"We're hopeful of getting Scotty signed soon," The Telegraph quotes Redknapp as saying. "He's a great lad and will be a really good signing for us. He's a player that can do a job for us in the Championship and it's important to have someone like him around the dressing room."
Reports have claimed that Parker underwent a medical this week.
