The administrators that are currently in charge of Rangers may not name a preferred bidder for the Ibrox club today.
Duff and Phelps had originally said last week that they would look to proceed with USA businessman Bill Miller's £11.2 million bid on Monday.
However, it has now been revealed that a group known as the Blue Knights have been locked in discussions with Duff and Phelps over the weekend.
"We have been negotiating with the Blue Knights over the weekend and talks are at a detailed stage," said a spokesman for the company.
As a result, a decision may now not be made until later this week.
