Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has reportedly contacted the Rangers board urging them to hold an extraordinary general meeting regarding his £5m loan.
The Sports Direct businessman, who owns a nine percent share in the Scottish club, wants the board to pay back his loan and explain why the club has been delisted from the AIM stock exchange, according to BBC Sport.
Ashley is currently in charge of branding, Rangers' Murray Park training ground and the outfit's retail rights, but all will be returned to the board should the loan be paid back.
Ashley's control at the club was thwarted when businessman Dave King and his consortium won a vote to take charge.
