Glasgow Rangers manager Ally McCoist has admitted that he expects to receive offers for striker Nikica Jelavic during the January transfer window.
The Croatian, who scored twice against Hibernian this afternoon, has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent days.
McCoist believes that the speculation is an indication of how well Jelavic is currently playing.
"Absolutely [Rangers will get offers] - I don't think there is any doubt about that," he told reporters. "I would imagine we will be having this conversation for the next three or four weeks.
"Jelavic showed just how important he is to our football club. That's the way it is.
"I would rather my players were playing really well and attracting attention from other people than not playing well and nobody being interested in them. Put it that way."
Jelavic has found the net 14 times this season.
