Rangers boss Ally McCoist has dedicated his team's Scottish League One title to club legend Sandy Jardine, who died on Thursday.
Jardine, who made over 700 appearances for the Glasgow giants, passed away earlier this week following a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 65.
When addressing the supporters at Ibrox following the 3-0 win over Stranraer, McCoist said he is hopeful that the victory was a fitting tribute to the iconic figure.
"I mentioned to the boys before the game that it was a situation where we wanted to do extra-specially well," he said.
"We wanted to win the game but we wanted to do it not just for the players and indeed the supporters, but we wanted to do Sandy proud and I'm very hopeful we did that."
Goals from Fraser Aird, Arnold Peralta and Dean Sheils sealed the win for Gers this afternoon.
