Ally McCoist has singled out Fraser Aird for special praise following Rangers' big win over Dunfermline in Scottish League One on Monday night.
The 18-year-old youth product, who has mainly been rooted to the bench this season, was handed a start at East End Park and scored the opening goal to help the Gers on their way to a 4-0 win and move 14 points clear at the head of the table.
"I was delighted from Airdy," McCoist told the press afterwards. "He has come on a lot this season and has been patient.
"But he looked as though he'd been there for a long time and took his goal really well."
Nicky Clark, Nicky Law and Robbie Crawford all got their names on the scoresheet.
