Rangers boss Graeme Murty has heaped praise on Alfredo Morelos for 'keeping his focus' in the 2-1 home defeat against Hibernian on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was overlooked for selection for the midweek Scottish Cup tie against Fraserburgh due to uncertainty surrounding his future, having been made the subject of an £8m bid from Chinese club Beijing Renhe.
Murty admitted on deadline day that Morelos 'had his head turned' by talk of a lucrative move to the Far East, but he was happy with the Colombian striker's overall display when returning to the side this weekend.
"I thought he cut a frustrated figure at times because he was dealt with robustly," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "But he kept his focus.
"He had a goal chalked off and tried to do the right things and get in the right area. But for a couple of really good blocks he could have had a goal, so I thought he did OK."
Rangers' defeat at Ibrox Stadium leaves them third in the Scottish Premiership, six points adrift of Aberdeen in second and a further eight off leaders Celtic.
